Research Chair for La Poste

A “Research Chair for La Poste in sustainable development”

On 2 April 2007, Georges Lefebvre, General Manager and Human Resources and Social Relations Manager at La Poste group, Patrick Widloecher, Sustainable Development coordinator at La Poste and Euromed Management, signed a partnership agreement to create a research chair for La Poste in sustainable development.
Through this position, La Poste gains priority access to the work of researchers, teachers and experienced professors in the fields relating to sustainable development. La Poste will also benefit from specific training and advice for its staff.
In turn, Euromed Management’s staff and students alike will benefit from the expertise of La Poste in the implementation of operational sustainable development projects. Each year, La Poste will propose training sessions and study themes for students to follow as part of their programme under the supervision of La Poste representatives.
Since 2003, La Poste, as signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, implements a sustainable development policy of which the success depends on the involvement of all 280, 000 partners.
Le Groupe La Poste est également signataire du Réseau du Management Responsable, lancé par Euromed Management le 10 octobre 2007.

Euromed Management wishes to associate efficacy and responsibility in training the decision-makers of tomorrow. To this effect, Euromed Management was one of the first French Management Schools to join Global Compact, The Responsible Campus and Committee 21. Euromed Management is the only business school selected in the Solar Generation project, a students’ association organisation acting for climate change.
Today, more than 150 students are embarking on responsible projects (from humanitarian projects through the carbon count to micro-credit projects) and more than 50 future managers are carrying out research in this field.
