The competence centres are interdisciplinary teaching and research units. Different bodies participate in the management of the Faculty and give it the means of developing its competences (adequate means) but also of participating in the mission and the strategy of the institution (empowerment).
The Dean (who is also an associate general manager) is in charge of recruitment and management of the Faculty. He is supported in this function by Competence centre directors and a Research director. Euromed Management has created this year a new competence centre: Leadership and Entrepreneur. So the Faculty is now divided into four competence centres which group the professors together by field of expertise:
The competence centres meet approximately once a month for exchanges and discussions between professors on the courses, the programmes, teaching methods and identification of new resources (recruitment, tools). They are also communities that reflect on the role of the teacher and the researcher.
From a more functional point of view the competence centre ensures the link between the professors and the Programme Committees for the assignment of courses, the opening or proposal of new courses and the teaching structure of the programmes.
